Rep. Maxine Waters Calls Protesters 'Teabaggers' California congresswoman claims their side overcame tea party movement efforts to derail health care reform legislation.

Is it too much to ask for a member of Congress to show a little grace after a major legislative victory and not resort back to the lowest common denominator?
Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., who in 2008 made her own socialist Freudian slip, couldnt handle that. In an appearance on HLNs March 22 The Joy Behar Show, Waters expressed her jubilation over the House of Representative vote on health care reform on March 21.
I was very pleased. It was truly a historic moment and I almost couldn`t believe it was happening, Waters said. It was surreal that all of a sudden it all came together after a year of debate and many times thinking it would never happen.
And all this happened despite the best efforts of the tea party efforts to convince members of Congress there would be repercussions for voting on a bill that public opinion wasnt in line with, or as Waters referred to them as the teabaggers.
Thinking that the teabaggers out there had influenced a lot of people and had caused them to be on the no side, and when it finally happened, I thought, my God, this certainly is historic, Waters said. This is a moment in history that will be remembered for a long time.
The teabagger euphemism was made famous by MSNBC at the height of tea party rallies. Urbandictionary.com, cited multiple times by one of those MSNBC guests, describes it as when a man places his testicles onto someones face, or into their mouth.
Waters comment also comes on the heels of media complaints about the tea party protests and claims offensive things were said by protesters.
Maxine Waters on the Los Angeles riots of 1992 (Rodney King riots):
"[Maxine] Waters has been criticized for her comments regarding the Los Angeles riots of 1992. In defense of the people that looted stores and damaged property, Waters said 'If you call it a riot it sounds like it was just a bunch of crazy people who went out and did bad things for no reason. I maintain it was somewhat understandable, if not acceptable. So I call it a rebellion.'[5] She also said it was 'a spontaneous reaction to a lot of injustice' and 'The anger in my district is righteous. I'm just as angry as they are.' She responded to the mass looting of Korean-owned stores by saying: 'There were mothers who took this as an opportunity to take some milk, to take some bread, to take some shoes. They are not crooks. Everybody in the street was not a thug or a hood.'"

From David Horowitz's FrontpageMag.com /DiscoverTheNetworks.org:
"Throughout its history, one of RCP's [Revolutionary Communist Party's] principal objectives has been to foment civil unrest in the United States. The most notable example of such efforts occurred on April 29, 1992, when RCP members looted and trashed the downtown and government districts of Los Angeles, triggering the infamous Rodney King riots. During the days immediately preceding the violence, RCP -- which maintained close ties to the L.A. gangs known as the Crips and the Bloods -- had circulated throughout South Central Los Angeles a leaflet featuring a statement by RCP National Spokesman Carl Dix, titled 'It's Right To Rebel' -- a quote popularized by Mao Zedong.
Encouraged by Dix, RCP activists helped lead the riots that would leave 58 people dead, more than 2,300 people injured, some 5,300 buildings burned, and $1 billion in property damaged or destroyed. On the ten-year anniversary of the rioting, RCP member Joseph Veale fondly recalled the violence as 'the most beautiful, the most heroic civil action in the history of the United States.'"

"The RCP [Revolutionary Communist Party] upheld the 1992 sometimes-violent unrest in Los Angeles and nationally as a 'rebellion' in the aftermath of the Rodney King verdicts. Then-LAPD chief Daryl Gates alleged that the RCP was involved in the 'riots'. Los Angeles has long been one of the RCP's larger and more active branches. William 'Mobile' Shaw was a local leader who recently passed and received public commendation from the party."

Oh, well, Joy, my God! I had NO idea that’s what teabagger meant! I guess that applies to MY party much more than the Tea Party! I’ll have to talk to Barney about this!
I think the left calls Tea Party members “teabaggers” because they are obsessed that male’s on our side have balls.
“Maybe we should start calling the coffee party’ers coffee beans .”
Hahahaha...did you see “There’s Something About Mary?
“What are we looking at here, the beans or the frank?”
Do they really think that the tea partiers will not remember this in November? Her seat may be safe but many of her colleagues’ seats aren’t.
I’ll bet King George had some choice names for our founding fathers and patriots who said No to his tyranny too.
To paraphrase: The day before yesterday, March 21, 2010a date which will live in infamythe United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by House and Senate forces of the Empire of Democrats.
And as for her "teabagger" comment, I understand that is primarily a homosexual activity hus she is using a derogatory comment about gays to insult her political opponents. Where are the gay activists to protest her? I know they would have their [underwear of either gender] in a bunch if we started calling what was passed Obamaqueer.

True.... Ewwwww, the thought. Let me think better thoughts.... Wanna see a picture of the CN Tower that I took on my vacation to Toronto?
Another libtard who needs to be retired.
She is a pig in more ways than one but it is easy to see how she gets reelected. Just listen to her constituents.
Barney Frank immediately issued a statement expressing his outrage, right?
Thanks.
40 bags would not be enough for me.
Maxine is a double-bagger.
Maxine is a water bagger.
How stupid can they be? We are paying. They are taking. They are cashing the checks we worked for.
Check the title of the new movie coming out: Takers..... sez it all.
I’d rather be a teabagger than a teabaggie...
Unfortunately, you have a good point. :(
