Former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has endorsed former Hewlett-Packard chief Carly Fiorina in the Republican Senate primary, Fiorina’s campaign will announce today.

“California needs a representative in the U.S. Senate who is prepared to make the tough decisions necessary to address our most pressing challenges, including job creation and national security. Based on my personal experience, I know Carly is the best person to send to Washington to advocate for the people of our great state in the Senate,” Rice said in a written statement. “Carly is an experienced and respected leader who has delivered results for those she has served in the midst of immense challenges. I am proud to endorse her today.”

Rice held a fundraiser for Fiorina last week in the Bay Area and plans to raise more money for her next month.

Rice served as President George W. Bush’s secretary of state from 2005 to 2009, and as his national security advisor from 2001 to 2005. She is currently a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution and a political science professor at Stanford University.

Kiss of Death for Fiorina.

Of course, with all those angry ex-HP people out there, she wasn't going to go anywhere anyway.

Sure why not? Look at the stellar record Carly built at HP!

I hate seeing incompetents prosper and become even wealthier then they already are.

DeVore has no chance except maybe in inland counties.

I’d go for the half loaf over no bread.

I think this endorsement will help Chuck DeVore. Go Chuck. I’m going to the Showdown at Searchlight on Saturday, I’m going to get a DeVore sign.

At least HP survived. Bell Labs didn’t.

I'm not impressed by Condoleezza Rice and never have been. It was a big deal about nothing on this woman. I never read or heard anything exceptional this woman ever said. On paper she had an impressive resume. But she wasn't a great Secretrary of State or national security adviser. People begged her to come back to California and run for the Senate against Barbara Boxer. She could have won and we could have gotten rid of this wretched creature. I was disappointed in that she didn't do this. So she doesn't want to run for political office? Fine, if it doesn't suit her. But I don't give any weight to her opinions on political issues. I doubt she's a real Republican or certainly not a conservative.

Why not file suit for "breach of contract", i.e., the Oath of Office, by EVERY Congress person that voted for Obamacare, or better yet, for Treason, for betraying The People AND Their Country?

Of course, you'll never get past the Courts that are packed with Activist socialist-sypathizing Judges.

Condo Rice was not much of anything except a Bush buddy and a faux Republican. Her connection to Communism was straight through her mentor, Czech Commie Josef Körbel, father of Clinton’s Sec of State the idiot Madeleine Korbel Albright. Otherwise she was just another Affirmative Action Academic Admin right down to the Lesbian sidekick.
As far as I care, she can rot!
