Given our nation’s current circumstances, may I respectfully recommend that all who are presently civilians take the oath intended for military officers.

That oath does not include the phrase “…and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States”.

I took an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution.
That still applies.
The President doesn’t have the authority to give orders to civilians.
