I would hope that the RNC gets involved in making Stupak history this November. I assume there will be a primary and several republican challengers.

Not saying he's the best thing since sliced bread, but the primary in Michigan is not until August 3rd. There are other people running. One other is Linda Goldthorpe.
I have no dog is this fight, but someone one posted Dan's name on sunday night and didn't mention any others in the race.

This district has the U.P. and northern part of the "mitt." It historically has been a Democrat district, blue collar and Catholic. The district is currently rated "safe" for the Dems.
It would be quite a coup to take this one. We'll see how ticked off those folks are.

It’s hatred for Stupak. I have no idea what Benishek’s positions on anything are. I will check before sending him any actual money, but I joined his Facebook group without a second thought.

Obama only won Stupak’s district with a slim 50% of the vote. George W Bush carried it twice, so this seat is definitely winnable.
