There was plenty of hoopla in the East Room of the White House on Tuesday when President Obama signed his health care bill into law. But when Mr. Obama signs an executive order that secured the votes of anti-abortion Democrats, he will do so in private.
The White House announced Tuesday evening that Mr. Obama would sign the order which it said reaffirms the health bills consistency with longstanding restrictions on the use of federal funds for abortion in the Oval Office on Wednesday afternoon.
The order, negotiated Sunday afternoon as the House was entering the final stages of debate on the health care bill, bars the government from spending federal money to pay for abortions through plans offered on the insurance exchanges created under the measure. The deal swayed about a half-dozen anti-abortion Democrats, led by Representative Bart Stupak of Michigan, to support the bill, assuring its passage.

oh that’s right He didn’t want any stories about said executive order ( which
is unconstitutional according to Steve King) to
overshadow this day. Maybe we should file suit against the EO?! THat’s
another idea for a lawsuit against this!
A day that will live in infamy.

Doesn’t matter what he uses to sign it. An executive order does can’t alter a law. Once healthcare is law he can’t change it.
can I tell the IRS that I’m paying my taxes in private?
or invisible ink.
An executive order can’t nullify a law passed by congress. The entire rat party is filled with stupid dorks.
Why couldn’t anyone in the media ask Obama or any of his cronies what their opposition was to the Stupak language if the Senate bill did, in fact, prohibit abortion coverage? Of course, we know why they didn’t.
And the date he will sign it is the 12th of Never ....
I’m thinking the same...will we ever see a copy of the signed EO?
