In fact, it's the largest congregation affiliated with the UCC, so whatever else TUCC is or isn't, it isn't non-denominational.

We've received many requests from freepers requesting that other freepers not post to them. There are several problems with this.
1. It's impossible for us to enforce.
2. We don't have the time to enforce these requests.
3. We don't have the software to keep track of these requests.
4. Thick skin helps.
5. Ignore the poster, if you don't reply, they won't reply.
Free Republic does not need a bozo filter, bozo filters are for wimps.

This is the Seattle PI, which isn’t a newspaper anymore. It’s now, basically, a blog. It’s a blog located in the same city as Jim McDermott.
I keep telling people - the most liberal place in the US isn’t MA, and it isn’t even SF. It’s not NYC. It’s not Philly.
The most liberal, the safest place for unhinged liberalism is Seattle, WA. By far.
Mark my words:

It is the absolute LAST place in the country you’d want to put a business. The governor here LITERALLY left it to the IAW to try and keep Boeing from opening their second 787 line in SC. She didn’t want to get involved, beyond producing a powerpoint lecturing Boeing’s CEO how magnanimous Washington has been toward Boeing.
I’d say that Seattle is literally the only place in the country where a liberal could do literally whatever they wanted in public office and still win reelection. That includes sexual or financial impropriety, felonies, assaults, bribery - you name it.
Where else can you do that anymore? It’s not even possible in Hyannisport.
I’d pay big bucks to see him just try to keep Michelle in line like a typical muslim “man” enslaves his wife.

It’s quite possible. They were strange people. marxist hippies(well, what a hippie would’ve been before anyone invented being a hippie), and probably atheists.
We should keep in mind though, that this commercialized form of christmas we all indulge in really has nothing to do with christianity.
santa claus?
christmas trees with lights and ornaments?
reindeer?
elves?
snow and snowmen?
jack frost?
jingle bells?
gift giving and fancy wrapping paper?
christmas ham and eggnog?
None of this junk means a darn thing. St nicholas invented the idea of collecting donated goodies/trinkets to give to the poor little orphans on christ’s birthday...and it all went downhill from there.
