Another idea - why don’t Indians open cash-only hospitals or health insurance businesses on their land? They are sovereign nations outside of US taxation, are they not?

Here in NY, when-ever the Gov’t wants to tax their tax-free cigarette sales, the local “nations” go out and burn a few cars, turn-over a few State Sheriff’s cruisers, and claim racial discrimination. Works perfectly in a liberal, PC place like NY State - the State backs down every time! They should do same for health-care! It will be better business than casinos!

This is a superb idea and has the beneficial selling point to the Indians that it will vastly improve health care on the reservations for the Indians themselves.
