That Didn't Go According to Plan! [Kathryn Jean Lopez]
The health-care bill is going back to the House.
The Hill:
Senate Democrats defeated 29 straight Republican amendments to the Democratic healthcare reconciliation bill before losing a key parliamentary ruling in Thursdays early hours that will force the legislation back to the House of Representatives.
Senate Parliamentarian Alan Frumin sustained two GOP objections to two minor sections of a Pell Grant provision in the student loan part of the bill intended to change the original healthcare reform bill passed by both chambers.

BB,
*sigh* It's passage still seems a foregone conclusion with no one sweating it after reading the whole The Hill article.

So I take it that means that they voted to allow Sex Offenders the “right” to Viagra?

They knew this was coming. They mentioned on FOXNEWS last night during Bret Baier’s panel that it would be sent back to the house for these two very minor rule infractions.

Yeah. Wasn’t too hard of a vote. It was a straight up vote.

I would like to know where all the Senators were when they were voting? They weren’t all there.
If hear one radio commentator say this is the law on the procedure of voting; I am going to throw up. No one is telling us the truth. They all seemed to know about this except the public; whose lives it will change.

The point that should be taken here is this debacle will AGAUIN be front and center before the American people, a majority of whom were AGAINST the legislation. The Democrats will AGAIN b forced to stand up before America and AGAIN show their arrogance and disdain for “we the people”.
The Republicans are to be commended and should be encouraged for their effort.

And it gets to be done on a weekday, so it will get more coverage. Notice how the Pelosi/Reid slime machine does all their dirty deeds on weekends and holidays?

Didn’t Obama sign the thing...how can it go back to the House? Aren’t they talking about the reconcilliation bill, not the Healthcare bill?

It’s the reconciliation “fix it” bill that’s going back.
