Just days before Christians worldwide commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus, a college student's production of a play depicting a Christ-like character as a homosexual is infuriating local residents who plan to protest this weekend's event.
"Corpus Christi," written by Terrence McNally, is the Tarleton State University project for student director John Jordan Otte, a 26-year-old homosexual who also says he's Christian.

I think i will go take a bathroom break in honor of Mohammad now!
Religion must be destroyed and replaced with Adoration of State and Obama.
What do you mean? Could you expand on that?
Who’s the hammer?
At least that would be a play based on historical fact.
this coward knows that if he did this to Mohammad, he would be on their fatwa list. so he trashes 'the religion of turning the other cheek'.
What a pussy.
I don’t like it, but I am opposed to censorship.
If he said the sky was green, would that make it so?
What’s the Biblical expression? God will not be mocked ... I do not want to be in those peoples position when they confront God after they die ...
Jesus should go Muslim on Terrence McNally
I can hear the screams of dismay from the perps already - a beautiful rhapsody
The gays love to try to pervert Christian religion for their own ends. Other recent gay attacks on Christianity:
“After David had finished talking with Saul, Jonathan became one in spirit with David, and he loved him as himself.” 1 Samuel 18:1 = “David was gay.” Wrong! The word “loved” is one of brotherly love, and in no way sexual. (But for gays, all “love” means a perverted sexual act.)
Sometimes gays like to insinuate that the Apostle Paul was gay by his letter in 2 Corinthians 12:7 alleging Paul’s “thorn in his flesh” was that he was gay. But that doesn’t get much play because the full passage states: “To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me.” Hard to promote being gay and admit that homosexuality comes from the devil.
Another perversion of The Word was put up on billboards around here a few years ago; it was done by a group trying to start a “gay church.” I really don’t want to know what ritual or sacraments such a church would have, but the billboards declared: “Would Jesus discriminate?” In other words, Jesus would not declare homosexuals sinners because he would not discriminate against them. However, this clearly misinterpreted “discrimination.” Jesus would not discriminate against a person on the basis of sex or race because none of those things are deliberate choices and none of them are sins. Sin is a deliberate choice, and homosexuality IS a sin. There is no question Jesus would condemn it for the sin that it is. Nice try, but no true Christian bought into it.
Imagine a homosexual Mo-Ham-Mad just before Ramadam.
Why don’t we turn a blind eye to stuff like this? It’s just a pathetic stunt to see who would be outraged. Our nation needs prayer, not lashing out at the other side who clearly don’t know what they are doing.
roflol..that’s not a bad idea.
The ACLU would come down in a minute if they were doing an authentic passion play on Jesus this Easter.
No. Your analogy is way too simplistic....otherwise Obama wouldn’t be President.
Saying that you're a Christian is not the same thing as Being a Christian, which requires more than talk. This guy is not a Christian.
A queer in Stephenville? I’m surprised he has not gotten the crap beaten out of him several times.
I don’t doubt that, and I would oppose the ACLU’s attempt to stop a play based on its religious content as I oppose attempts to stop this particular play.
Ignoring the problem won’t make it go away..that’s what many liberals have advised...the “avert your eyes and ears” policy, although in a culture this toxic...that’s impossible. You either reclaim the culture...or condemn yourself to live in the swamp.
