NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The man accused in an incident of road rage over an Obama bumper sticker Thursday afternoon says he was only trying to get around another car that had stopped in front of him.
Harry Weisiger told News 2, "He slammed on his brakes, and I hit him in the bumper when I tried to go around him."
Weisiger, 70, is accused of hitting Mark Duren's car on Blair Boulevard around 4:30p.m. Friday.
Duren claims Weisiger flipped him off and rammed into him with his SUV after noticing an Obama-Biden bumper sticker on his car.
"He pointed at the back of my car, the bumper," Duren said after the accident, "flipped me off, one finger salute."

I know the feeling....every time I see one of those effin bumper stickers.
War is always an answer. War has solved every problem in the last two centuries.
Whether it is an acceptable and cost-effective answer is another story entirely.

Weisiger is charged with two counts of reckless endangerment, driving under the influence, refusing to take a breath test, and leaving the scene of an accident.
I don't know (or particularly care) if this incident had anything to do with the Obama sticker, but this guy (the driver of the SUV) is an idiot. He admits leaving the scene of the accident, and then he refused a breathlyzer? Political motivation or not, this guy deserves what's coming to him.
This is why I have NO bumper stickers on my car. It doesn’t matter how insipid, how uncontroversial a bumper sticker is (e.g. “Flowers Are Pretty!”) there’s bound to be some butt munch who’ll take offense at it, and maybe use it as an excuse to key your car-like DH’s nephew’s truck got keyed for his W sticker, back in 2007. Or worse. I keep my car as anonymous looking as I can.

Do you realize you’re using the same logic some Republicans did when they apologized for the racial epithets the other day? This may be evidence of road rage related to the sticker, and it may be tantamount to a Congressman claiming something that was clearly false.
BTW, the left is at war with us. We will either engage or surrender. Still, it has to be done right.

NEVER submit to a breathalyzer! Even if you have not had a single drink. I agree with you regarding the rest of this however.

i just got a FUBO sticker but concerned that my truck will get keyed when i am not there to stop it “by all means necessary”
My kids always scold me for having to get a look at the driver whenever I see a car sporting left wing bumper stickers, and driving aggressively to get in viewing position. For some reason I’m always curious what the idiot looks like. Uglier than average, for sure.
