And the Catholic bishops are on board! They’ve taken a break from funding pro-abortion politicians’ campaigns, and ACORN, etc., and they are already mailing out postcards campaigning for passage of the Permanent Pro-Abortion Majority Act—amnesty for undocumented Democrats.

The illegal aliens survive on jobs that are given them under fake s.s. numbers by employers who look the other way (mostly American employers who know the truth about their cheap labor with no benefits.) This has been going on for decades. As long as the government does not enforce the laws on the books regarding illegal aliens and their employment, nothing will change. The Catholic Church, other than it’s message of caring for strangers (in this case naive of the economic and social impact of undocumented workers who pay little or no taxes yet use a much greater amount of the benefits of society) doesn’t have a great deal of political sway over it’s flock, maybe the less intelligent ones, but then again, the democrats have an impact several times that of the Catholic Church. As for Christian churches positions on illegal aliens, there are several Protestant denominations that speak the same message(United Church of Christ, Episcopalians, Presbyterians, etc.)
