Look the RC church suffers greatly from the abuse of children by priests. To deny that this has happened and try to sweep it under the rug is evil. This has nothing to do with O. It has everything to do with calling to accountability those who have ruined your church.
That’s your opinion and I suppose the timing is coincidental in your view, also.
Well, we’ll see how it all plays out won’t we?
Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.
The incidence of abuse of children by priests is actually lower than that of abuse of children in public schools by teachers, general sexual abuse of children in their families, etc.
The biggest problem is that during a certain period in the 1970s, large numbers of homosexuals got into the seminaries and, while they do not go after children, homosexual men are notorious for their fondness for adolescents or younger men. And that is what most of these cases have been. Of course, Protestant churches have openly gay ministers who without a doubt have been involved in things like this, simply because that’s how gay men are, but I guess that’s different: the press presents these men as heroes.
This has everything to do with Obama. The Church is his only identifiable enemy, and his forces in the media and the political world are doing everything to undermine it and destroy it. No Pope has been better than Benedict on this issue, and, in fact, I think that’s one of the other reasons they’re after him. He is hated by the gay mob and they have regular demonstrations outside the Vatican calling for his death, among other things.
You can tell a lot about a person by his enemies. The fact that Benedict is hated by the gay lobby, the Muslims, women’s organizations, the New York Times, and the Obama White House is a great thing. I bet you’re jealous because I doubt that your church can say the same!
