“Ever” is a long time.
I don't know where you think I don't believe that the Second Amendment is about far more than firearms....it is about a living human being's God-given right to defend their life, property and family.
My parents came from Europe after WWII. My relatives buried weapons (in Hungary) to avoid confiscation by the communists. When I see Americans wanting to bury weapons, I ask 'why'?
You see, those buried weapons are still buried. There never was another day to fight that came. Those people are still denied even though they now live more 'free' than they were under communism.
If we bury our firearms, we will never see them again, just like everyone else who buried them over the years.
You obviously know little about the Cold War. Get educated.
It depends on how many others come to the party.
They'll get away with that for a while; then they'll start running into ambushes and booby-traps.
Remember Ben Mitchell.
You’re right about that.
Any “burying” needs to be only for the duration of the “deadline to turn-in” plus a week or two; not 15 years.
I can concede that point. But is 2500 - for each side - enough for ALL party-goers?
Image the chaos in the stock market if a limited exchange of 4 occured between sides and an oil rich territory was involved.
Imagine the inflation rate if ONE nuke was detonatd by Israel.
First, because the possibility of numerous countries teaming up against us is very real.
Second, you need to have enough to defeat every other country on Earth --- twice over, in case you lose a few nukes during the war.
Third, because 10 is not enough to deter BOTH Russian and China at the same time.
Obama's perverse foreign policy
Oh, in the future, see if you can restrain your use of profanity. This is not your house, this is Jim's House, and it deserves respect.
“Im guessing that you believe we need all of the nuclear weapons that we have.”
Yes.
“How many nuclear weapons do we need?”
Enough so we would be the winners in any catastrophic situation.
