DC Tea Party April 15th...Who Is Going?
Vanity ^ | March 28, 2010 | Wpin

Posted on 03/28/2010 11:57:39 AM PDT by Wpin

I am wondering who is going to the April 15th Tea Party in Washington DC. I have not seen much info on it yet, but did hear a hint on Fox News last night.

I have a fairly good number of people willing to go, but do not want to go if there isn't going to be thousands there. Not with the first timers coming along.

Interesting thing...most of the new protesters are college kids! And, I know that at least half of them were/are democrats who are outraged at the health care bill passed!

If anyone has info on this protest and if they think it will be fairly large please let me know.

I have heard that the protest (Tea Party Express organized one) will be in the late afternoon, early evening. Probably at the Capitol Building??? Not sure either.

FreedomWorks is having an evening rally at the Washington Monument.

Don’t know if the Tea Party will rally with them.

I’d rather do something the Tea Party is sponsoring.

You are right about tagging along with the Tea Party groups. Freedom Works “distanced” themselves from the Tea PArty over the alleged racial slurs that the Tea Partiers said. Funny how the word “alleged” only applies to criminals and terrorists. And there has been NO video tape of the alleged racial slurs from the multitudes of alleged reporters that were in DC for the anti-HC Tea Party several weeks ago.

FreedomWorks is pro-amnesty. Dick Armey is lobbyist for the Mexican Senate & the Californian hotel industry.

I’ll be there in all the red white and blue I can wear!

I’ll be back in August and September too!

Thanks, guys--there was something about FreedomWorks that didn't seem right--now I know what it is. Like a RINO Trojan Horse.

Still wish I knew what the TP Express planned on doing when they roll into DC. I emailed them and asked also. With three weeks to go, there's not a lot of time to plan.

Maybe they are keeping it close to the vest so as to not tip off the opposition.

I went to my first Tea Party on 4/15/2009 in Kansas City. I then went to Washington DC 9/12/2009. There were hundreds of thousands of people there. I told my wife: "If they don't get the message this time, we will bring ten times the number next time". Well they did not get the message. So if you can spare a couple of days of your life and a few bucks, for your Country, then I will see you there. If not, think of an explanation for your children as to why you couldn't do it.

If we falter now, by not showing up in greater numbers, we will lose the initiative. So if you can, by any means, show up it will have an impact.

Forget “Freedom Works” and “TP Express”. This is not about them. They want to make it about them, but it is about the Country and Freedom. We must stand up now and take the Country back to the Constitution or lose it forever!

Well, yes, it is about them—if they are sponsoring something.

Look, a lot of people are saying that they are going to DC—but for what? Where in DC? Who is sponsoring the event?

You can’t just have thousands of people milling about without a purpose.

There has to be a focus, a place, a purpose.

Otherwise, everyone looks foolish.

And you have to be careful who is sponsoring the event. FreedomWorks—pffft!

Tea Party OK. 9-12 OK.

I am still looking for the EVENT that will be the gathering place for all of these folks on 4-15. What is it?

Interesting thing...most of the new protesters are college kids!

'Generation Fail' is starting to figure out how their buddy in the WH has screwed them, but good.

"We have to PAY for our free health care??? ...and we HAVE to BUY it, or get fined??? WTF?"

Spread the word to your sons and daughters.

Sarah Palin said she would be in Boston on the 14th to meet the Tea Party Express—I was hoping she would ride with the bus into DC.

Sarah should go to Washington...far more effective than an appearance in socialist Boston on the previous day. Sarah in front of the Capitol would make for an AMAZING visual...the left would stroke out.

Yes, the left would stroke out. Karma, you know.

The TP Express website now says they expect the caravan to be in DC on the 15th at 6:00 pm, but no meeting place.

I have emailed them about the lack of info but no response yet.

I will be attending the Lone Star Tea Party that day in Grand Prairie, TX. There are, so far, 24 area TP organizations participating in this event.

Wpin, my wife and I are foregoing a weeklong, midsummer vacation to northern Indiana (from Louisiana)[READ NATURAL AIRCONDITIONING] to stomp on the Mall. We will go bust protesting. I’d just as soon give my money to the economy than Obama.
