The way I remember the story is that the FBI (ATF?) conned him into sawing-off a shotgun, which he was originally reluctant to do but ended up doing because he needed the money.

Once he delivered, he was trapped.

My story is off... but what I'm driving at here is that the authorities need no reason to arrest any one of us...least of all, a bunch of Christian Militia members. They'll do something in order to get us across that line, whether it's ethical or not.

I'm just amazed that their is a minimum length for a shotgun? Who came up with that rule? Doesn't that conflict with the 2nd amendment??
