Joe Sestak Holds Health Care Town Hall

PHILADELPHIA - Congressman Joe Sestak held what his campaign is billing as the first town hall in the country since the health care vote. The Democrat is of course running for the senate against Arlen Specter. So the town hall occurred before a largely supportive audience in Northeast Philly -- not in his home district in Delaware County.

He didn’t take the WH offer and drop out of the race did he?

Interesting. He didn’t go in front of his own district (chicken!) and even in a dem district a few chased him down to give him hell. I also noticed the dems in the district didn’t seem to care about listening to him either- they cleared out. He’s in trouble.
Third thing I noticed, the station did allow some film from our side. My experience is, they block us out, and only show the weirdest, loudest ones. Even Fox affiliates.
Yup, Sestak took his townhall to Northeast Philly, not even his own district. So it wasn’t really a “townhall” meeting it was more of a campaign stop for his Senate run.
I’ll classify a “townhall” as when someone holds an open meeting with their constituents, so this wasn’t one of them.
This guy just doesn’t care about the 7th District, he is already in full-scale campaign mode for the Senate Dem primary.
FWIW... Pat Meehan (former US attorney for Eastern Pa) is the GOP frontrunner and should win this seat easily. The PA-7th should be back in GOP hands in November.
