If you turn to Jesus simply to possible save yourself from a possible bad end, you are not Saved. Salvation comes to those who honestly and earnestly repent of their sins and seek a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Christianity is not Fire Insurance.
Who ever comes to Jesus out of completely pure motives?
God has warned us more than enough about the consequences of our sin and He's the one who commands us to repent to avoid that bad end. If you don't consider that a valid reason to repent, then you need to take it up with God.
You tell Him that warning people about hell isn't a good reason for them to repent and turn to Christ.
