Two female suicide bombers have blown themselves up aboard packed underground trains at the height of the rush hour in Moscow this morning, killing 38 people and leaving an estimated 65 injured, according to the Russian security service.
President Dimitri Medvedev is due to reassure the nation in a television address later today, pledging no let up in the war against terrorism and promising a security crackdown on public transport.
The first blast came at the Lubyanka station in central Moscow at around 8am (0400 GMT), killing 24 people. The station is deep below the headquarters of Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB), the successor to the Soviet-era KGB, and is just yards away from the Kremlin.
Around 45 minutes later the second explosion happened a 15 minute journey away at Park Kultury station, near Gorky Park, killing around 12. Both stations are situated on Moscow's busy Red underground line, or line number one.

What kind of virgins do women get?
I watched Russia lob many a missile at Chechnya from 95’ to 96’ when I was stationed in Southwest Asia. I vividly remember the constant missile tracker alerts.
They get to watch!
This is how Russia handles terrorism.
From wiki:
Grozny - In 2003 the United Nations called it the most destroyed city on earth.
Just remember, if the Russians help them build it, they know all the specs and software involved. I am sure that is useful info if you’d wantnto destroy something.
No terrorist support is OK. They are not striking at the Government, they are striking at innocents.
Also, CAIR survived 9/11, I am sure they will survive another major terrorist attack on US soil. Everyone was walking on eggshells not to condemn Muslims back then. So, I don't have much confidence that with Obama as president that we will clamp down on CAIR or any other Islamic extremist groups in the US in the event of a major attack here.
Could be a “Reichstag Fire.”
I’ve taken that subway line a few times. It’s a wonder 38 people don’t die every day, the way they crowd the edge of the platforms as the train zooms in.
They didn't do much after Beslan in 2004. That should have been reason alone to run the muzzies out way back then.
Anyone who would say that is an ignoramus because they don't know the facts. We never supported bin Laden during the Afghanistan war. The fact is, no one in our defense department ever heard of Osama Bin Laden during the Afghanistan war. Sure, it's possible that a group he was involved with got money to fight the Soviets, but at that time he was not a terrorist. He was fighting against an invading army. Name one terrorist activity he did in the 80's?
That what I am saying. Just because the US was in Afghanistan training resistance fighters doesn't mean they were working with terrorist bin Laden. But since he did masterminded the 9/11 attack, some people link the US and bin Laden together just because both of them were involved in Afghanistan even when there was no relationship between the two.
That like making comment about Iran when it is not even involved in the Subway bombing unless they are still supporting the Chechen now.
The US government is still not going to do anything against CAIR in any case.
I think that the Russians are just stringing the Iranians along. The fact that the Iranians are poking Israel and the US in the eye is just a bonus for them. China has no interest in helping the US or Russia so they are just sitting off on the sideline eating popcorn.
I urge you to learn a bit about Osama. In the 80’s he joined Abdullah Yusuf Azzam who was at the time openly calling for “global jihad”.
There is enough blame to pass around, and using the same logic as you did, someone could blame the US itself for the 9/11 attacks because of the support it gave to afghan mujahideen and support of various extremist islamic regimes such as the one in Saudi Arabia...
And you have proof that Abdullah Yusuf Azzam was receiving funds or RPGs to fight the soviets? Osama was a minor player, a foot soldier in the 80s. I have no doubt that he may have been part of mujadeen in Afghanistan that were getting assistance from the U.S.
I have read enough about Osama. He turned against the U.S. and the government of Saudi Arabia after the 1991 Gulf War when he offered Saudi assistance to protect them from Iraq and they spurned him and went to the U.S. for assistance. Long after the war in Afghanistan was over.
