I am for Israel. My attempt was to indicate there are reasons for American Jews apparent disinterest in Israel today. History is history. It does and has created basic frames of mind that are understandable. Why many are secular surprises me. The orthodox and the Messianic Jews (recognizing Jesus as Messiah) are sincere servants of YHWH God. God bless you, Israel, and the City of God Jerusalem. during the passover feast.

The vast majority of Jews in 1890 were in Imperial Russia suffering at the hands of the anti-semitic Czar.
The Rabbeim said at the time that it would be better to stay than go to the Golden Medina and assimilate.
The most pious stayed while the most predisposed to assimilation , apostasy and secularism became the core of American Jewry.
Unfortunately the pious ones then perished by the Nazis. The surviving minority is now the core of American orthodoxy
