Almost our entire political class is guilty of “seditious conspiracy.” They’ve been undermining the foundation, the Constitution they swore to uphold, for many decades.

They would have already destroyed it but it’s a pretty tough old rock. It’s still held in place, for the moment, by the habit of liberty of the American people.

seditious conspiracy

LOL

I have an ancestor that was charged with sedition against the gov't.

He was hunted from pillar to post by the gov'ts Pinkerton detectives. He led them a merry cat & mouse game for years, always one step ahead of them.

He was finally smuggled out of the country - and lived in safety the rest of life.

His crime? He had a clandestine publishing business, with a printing press - and published books and tracts against the gov't. The book that got him in the most trouble was The Perth Assembly.

He was Elder William Brewster, "of the Mayflower" - my 7th great great grandfather. After living in Holland for 12 years - where he published - he had to sneak back into England preparatory to being smuggled aboard the Mayflower for the voyage to New England.

History repeats itself - only the names, places and dates change.

In the meantime, today, a Christian militia group gets raided while an Islamic militia group in the same area is untouched.

How convenient that BH0 is out of the country, “bolstering the morale of the troops.”

Hutaree is accused of attempted use of weapons of mass destruction. ....the group planned to detonate homemade bombs

So conventional homemade bombs are now considered WMDs?

Given how the left, and especially Obama, politicizes everything, I doubt what the govt says in this case. Sedition? After what the left has done for the past 10 years, let along the past 40+ years? Yeah right.

Let's wait until the evidence comes out in court.

Isn't this what we're always cautioned to do by CAIR when a Muslim is arrested for plotting to blow something up?

I'm keeping my powder dry and waiting for the facts. Everyone is innocent till proven guilty.

I've seen both legitimate charges and BS. I'm not going to speculate what this is. I don't know.

I'm surprised they moved on this group - after all, there weren't dozens of children to burn to death.

I'd still like to know how Reno and gang got off scot free from the crimes they committed.

"Seditious conspiracy."

Doesn't that describe Obamacare?

Back durning the Civil War, a dock worker was thrown in jail for saying something bad about Lincoln.
Sounds like history is repeating itself. Unless the charges of WMD are true, this sounds like BS.

I don’t have much use for religious kooks who want to play soldier, but that doesn’t mean I want to see them thrown in jail or, worse, exterminated in a raid that would do justice to a Taliban compound.
I remember not only Ruby Ridge and Waco, but the 2008 raid on the polygamous compound near Abilene: Hundreds of cops, helicopters, and even tracked armor for crying out loud. Nearly all the charges were found to be without merit, the children were returned, and the state is going to owe millions in lawsuit settlements.
Amazingly, the same CPS worker who instigated the Waco raid in 1993 was in charge of this one as well.

The militia group Hutaree are said to have conspired to oppose by force the authority of the US Government.

Here it comes, folks. Won't be long until the FEMA (re-education) camps are open for business!

I’ll wait to see how this one shakes out. I’m certainly not going to countenance an attack on the police of this magnitude, but after watching the FBI destroy it’s credibility at Waco, I’ll just hold of judgment to see whether the FBI has done any better here.

They’ll be called child molesters before long. This is going to happen to every group. If we don’t have a huge movement, with legitimate leadership, every small group of patriots will be taken down one at a time with charges that’ll make their arrest palatable to the American people.

Hutaree also threatened Obama, and the Secret Service intervened. The pipe bombs and NFA weapons were investigated by BATFE. FBI took lead on the investigation when it was found out to be a larger conspiracy by BATFE.
