I never really understood how conservatives can have liberal friends. I guess that some other commonalities transcend political philosophy. But, I prefer to spend my free time with other conservatives as opposed to liberals as I don’t have to tolerate their phoney indignation when I say something that both I and they know is true. (Political incorrect as they would define)

my wife works in an envirnoment populated by leftists and we naturally hang out with some of them. It has been interesting to watch their view change from unabashed enthusiam for Obama’s election, to a grudging realization that they may have way overestimated his centrist campaign promises. Liberals are a funny buch, they are all for equality until it starts to bite their pocketbook in the way of higher taxes.

When I saw a couple of them last week I made sure to remind them that next year Obama’s flex plan limits go into effect. Next year the max is $2500 and no prescription medications can be purchased with flex money. They asked me where I heard that and I told em I would forward the section of the health care plan to them via email. I have not heard from either of them since I sent them the info.
