MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said militants operating on the Afghan-Pakistan border may have helped organise suicide bomb attacks that killed 38 in Moscow on Monday, Interfax news agency reported.
Two female suicide bombers attacked Moscow metro stations during the Monday morning rush hour. Both likely had links to the North Caucasus, the centre of an Islamist insurgency against Moscow, the head of Russia's FSB state security service said.
Some Russian officials have said that the insurgents in the North Caucasus, which includes Chechnya, Ingushetia and Dagestan, have ties to al Qaeda, though many analysts have disputed the link.

I have said all along we should have built the Gitmo prison in the nastiest possible region of Alaska, and we should have hired Russians to administrate it.
Keeping it far away in the wilderness would have had the additional benefit of keeping liberal bleeding hearts away from it because hey, it’s icky and cold up there.
Plus, if any of those scumbags wanted to escape, they could have held the doors open for them. Feeds the wolves and the polar bears.
It happened in Russia — it will happen here. Members of my family have known for a long time to keep distance from women wearing a burqa-like dress in crowds. You can bet your falafil that one of them will go BOOM! in the not too distant future.
