“State offices are closed Wednesday for Cesar Chavez Day, and many workers made Easter weekend plans thinking Friday was a furlough day.”
Am I reading this right? The California government closes on Wednesday because it’s “Cesar Chavez Day,” but is open on Good Friday? I guess that the Messiah dying for our sins is not as important to Californians as organizing a lettuce-picking union and pushing for illegal-alien amnesty.

Arnold, just keep running the guberment until the money runs out. When the judges and clerks and other assorted parasites don’t get a paycheck, then they will listen. Or stop showing up for work.
