McCain and Palin: Reunited and Feeling Good ("I support his position on immigration")
Fox News ^ | 2010-03-27

(snip)

VAN SUSTEREN: Governor Palin, if you were vice president today, what would you be telling a President McCain about what to do about immigration, if anything?

PALIN: I support his position on immigration. It all comes down to securing the border. And he who has actually proposed some solutions, the Obama administration does not want to listen to Senator McCain or any other Republican, and that, of course, leads to a greater problem that we have in Washington, D.C. And it's that lack of the new administration's ability and enthusiasm for listening to those on the other side of the aisle who have some good solutions that they want considered.

But But But she’s Sarah Palin!! Whenever i bring up the fact that she bends over backwards to support McCain I get all kinds of cute comments

” you dont see the big picture”

” she owe’s him”

Blah Blah Blah...

I have nothing personal against her, but she will NOT be on my list of people to vote for...

Keep supporting her. Here is what she says about illegal immigration:

Dec4, 2009 Interview with Lars Larson:

LARS: The amnesty proposal that was defeated in Congress — in your view, was that amnesty for illegals and would you back amnesty for a path to citizenship, as the current president calls it?

SARAH PALIN: No, I’m not for amnesty. Let’s ratchet this down quite simply to remember what we’re referring to. Illegal aliens are called “illegal” for a reason. We need to secure our borders and I am not for amnesty. And there are humane ways to deal with the 11-13 million illegal aliens who are in our country right now, but if they’re not going to follow the rules, they need to get out.

And he who has actually proposed some solutions...

That "he" she was referring to was one John McCain. Those "solutions" she was referring to include the infamous McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill, now reborn as Graham-Schumer.

I was thinking about something last night...all of McCain’s legislative moves in the senate....

McCain/Fiengold - BAD finance reform

McCain/Kennedy - BAD immigration policy

McCain/Durbin - taking vitamins/supplements from the public

The gang of 14...

Climate Change...

Of all of McCain’s bills that he produced or co sponsored, can ANYONE name just one that wasn’t in concert with a liberal democrat???

>> Hello! You’re not running on the McCain ticket anymore!

Well, obviously Palin feels obligated.

Can you BELIEVE it...some are still making excuses for her!! Now, I’m absolutley convinced either two things are going on here...1) these excusers are Bushite/McCainite pro-amnesty themselves, or, 2) they are so far gone on Palin that she could come out in favor of same sex marriage or abortion...and they would STILL support her.

She has to Larry. How would she look if she dumped on the guy who chose her for his running mate...

I read her book....it touches on these areas where she had difference of opinion with Juan.

I am on record here that I wish she would back off too...it’s unseemly and Hayworth...however flawed is an improvement I agree....I was excoriated for this by the Thou Shall Never Speak Ill of Sarah folks...and while I do love her and paid to see her here...I will call her out when she screws up and yes...this is the first. Let Juan run his own campaign for a while. Her site and facebook are innundated with this sentiment ans it’s all my kinfolks talked about last Saturday nite at dinner...saying just what we are saying here.

You are a pragmatist..you understand politics and fluidness.

On the other hand...if she did remove her support and explain it well on Greta etc...it could push the GOP to the right...just wondering.

Well, obviously Palin feels obligated.

To do what? To back McCain's bipartisan jihad against conservatives and Americans?

And where exactly does this "obligation" end? When McCain and his gang of RINOs has dragged us all down into Obama's Socialist abyss?

” And there are humane ways to deal with the 11-13 million illegal aliens who are in our country right now, but if they’re not going to follow the rules, they need to get out.”

Might as well be a quote from Bill Clinton. No difference.

“When Palin says directly she supports amnesty of illegals then we can talk.”

Wardaddy, she is NEVER going to admit that, not publicly.
Even McCain, on his website, insists he is opposed to amnesty!
Do you believe that? She says she is for a ‘pathway to citizenship’, against workplace enforcement and deportations, she says it isn’t ‘humane’...what do you suppose she means by that?

What better time to say, "Senator McCain and I agree on securing the border. We strongly disagree over what should happen to the 12 million illegals already here."

Because she's supporting him in his primary campaign. This would be the time to emphasize points of agreement (border security) while downplaying differences (amnesty). Her answer to Greta does that exactly -- it focuses on the border security issue and side-steps any discussion of amnesty.
