Fred Thompson for RNC Chairman. Too much at stake coming up for a rank amateur like Steele to be sitting on whatever money he hasn’t spent yet....

Nope. Been down that road with that RINO supporter already. Donated to him and all that. However, he leans far to much to the left as he supports liberal Republicans.

No longer my cup of tea. Sorry Fred, you had a chance.

"Fred Thompson for RNC Chairman."

Oh, that is a great idea, and one that I hadn't heard before. I wonder if he'd be up for it.

How about Karl Rove or Dick Cheney?

Fred Thompson for RNC Chairman.

Absolutely not. Thompson's behavior assured McCain's nomination. Methinks you've fallen for an act.

Fred would be perfect, especially in this sort of clean-up situation.

That is actually a very interesting idea...

I would not say that Steele is a rank amature, he is cut from the same cloth that has compramised the parties efforts in many elections since 2004...So yes, he needs to go...

Not sure if Fred could re-vitalize the base in time for November, but there are people he could get into play, nationally, that cold keep people focused on November and getting it done for the party...

Just expanding on your idea I hope...

Fred Thompson didn’t even want to participate in his own campaign, and you want to put him in charge of doling out money and advisors for literally hundreds of them?

Note to FReepers: just because you like someone’s political positions doesn’t mean they can be effective managers.
