The use of two secret, experimental prison units used to isolate Muslim inmates is unconstitutional, the Center for Constitutional Rights claims in federal court. Five inmates say they were classified as low or medium security and had relatively clean disciplinary histories. Still, because they are Muslim, they say they were put in the isolated units at either the Federal Correctional Institution in Terre Haute, Ind., or at the United States Penitentiary in Marion, Ill.

"As a result, plaintiffs' familial relationships and rights of association with loved ones have been substantially impaired,"

Where does it say that ANY prisoner has "right of association" -- this is a prison, not Club Med.

And note they don't say what is their crime? Are they convicted of terrorism?

Reuters article on the same subject, more details:

Special U.S. prisons unconstitutional: lawsuit

http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSN3014363320100331

“U.S. prison units specially designed to muzzle communications by inmates considered extremist are unconstitutional and discriminate against Muslims, according to a lawsuit filed on Tuesday by the Center for Constitutional Rights.

Aha — “inmates considered extremist” — how dare we separate terrorists from the general population and not allow them to communicate with their fellow terrorists?!

I suggest we incarcerate them in the homes of members of “the Center for Constitutional Rights”.

“The prisons are also known for holding what critics call members of the “al Qaeda B-team,” accused Islamic militants who are deemed to be less of a security risk than the high-value detainees, but too important to mix with the general prison population.”

(from the Reuter’s article)

Oh, the horrors, I think we should let them loose (/sarc)

Muzzie, No Problem!

Eat the food with the rest of the prison population:

Hot Dogs, bacon, pork chops, lard!

No more falfafel and goat for you!

They’re not put in prison because they’re muslim. They’re put there because they’re terrorists. It’s not our fault that 99% of terrorists are muslim.

Once they end up in prison they no longer have the freedom of association. The real reason they are suing is because this Quarantine of Muslims weakens their recruiting efforts. They should be treated like infected individuals.

I say keep them in with the rest so they can be raped.

It sounds like these people believe the same.

Is it also unconstitutional to separate gangs in prison?

Exactly.

Solitary confinement, one would suppose, would be the best thing prison life has to offer- free food and board, and no anal rape.
