What is the first revolver a cost-conscious consumer should buy for a first-time shooter who is a small woman with small hands (Mrs. Christian_Capitalist)? Happy to buy new or used, whatever, just trolling for suggestions.

Consider going to a few gun shows and buying a used Smith & Wesson model 10 in .38 special. They were standard police pistols for decades and are still plentiful and inexpensive.
