I think the state actions, no matter how many decide to join in, are a waste of time. States cannot ignore federal law.

States can not only not ignore the Federal Law, They are duty bound to fight a law that they see as being unconstitutional. If they did not file suit they would be out of step with their oath to defend the constitution.

It is certainly not out of the question that this law will be found unconstitutional. Not to bring the law suits would be stupid. Regardless, the plan should be to REPEA this nightmare, not fix it, not change it, undo and replace it. Complete repeal should be the plan and it should be advertised as such.

This is a fundamental liberty to be LEFT ALONE. The Federal Government has no right to require someone to engage in specific commerce as a pre-requisit to be a resident in the country of his birth. If the Federal Government can do this, they are no longer a Federal Legislature, They become a general legislature and the states should be eliminated. There is no point to have the state level of government if the feds are going to micromanage.
