Fascinating. Yet ANOTHER story attacking the RNC (not that I support them) using Sarah Palin this time. Anyone sensing a pattern here? First the 'strip club' incident, then
the phone sex mailer incident, and now this? Curiouser and curiouser.
Hmmm. Did some FR searching and it looks like the MSM is twisting things around concerning the RNC (I know, I'm shocked, shocked I tell ya!), 'cause here's an
"Palin to RNC: Take me off fundraiser( RNC is trying to trade on her name )" article from yesterday that has nothing to do with the 'strip club' incident! This is the same thing that happened at that Reagan Library speech, miscommunications between Sarah's people and them concerning her appearing, nothing finalized but they still advertise that she'll be there.
Ok, all this anti-RNC stuff isn't goldfish fishy, or sea monster fishy, it's moving quickly into bottom of the Marianas Trench fishy for me!

RNC Attempts to Capitalize on Governor Palin's Popularity The money quotes:
"How many times have groups floated the name of Governor Palin to sell tickets to an event by implying she was attending when in fact she wasn't? I've honestly lost track."
"Exit question: Why doesn't the RNC ever use Mitt Romney's name to sell tickets? He is, after all, the preferred establishment candidate. Surely they'd want to take advantage of his vast popularity, no?"

True or false, (mostly false) I am certain we will read similar stories from now on until November. The Dims (or Deems) are in big trouble and they need all the help from the MSM they can get.....and the MSM will be there for them.

This is good for Sarah. It gives her leverage over the GOP and RINOS, and eliminates their option of suggesting that she is disloyal.
It appears that the RINOs have put themselves in bondage, who knew?

Internally, the RNC also axed the staffer who led the expedition to Voyeur, Allison Meyers. It was Meyers who got the RNC to reimburse the GOP reveler stuck with the evening's $1,946 tab... Anyone involved in this should have been fired. Is there anyone, anywhere who thought this was a good idea?

Fire Michael Steele. Hire Sarah Palin as Chair of RNC.
Michael should have been on top of this. He wasn't because he was too busy selling his book and having people stroke his narcissistic streak.

Hopefully she's just 'tied' to McCain for only a couple more months and McCain gets his 'gold retirement watch' from the voters in Arizona's primary... Every interview I've seen of attendees to McCain's events indicate the people came to see Palin, not Juan...and that Juan can't count on their support.

Why a couple more months? Why is she snubbing the GOP but supporting the poster boy of the GOP establishment? This “loyalty” bit has run its course. Time for her to seperate from McQueeg, but it’s probably already too late.

Same here. For the same reasons I throw RNC donation request in the garbage.Don't do that. Write a nastygram on them and send it back in their post-paid envelope. If that happens enough times, maybe they'll get the message.

There is still such a thing as FReedom of association or assembly or sumthin’, isn’t there?
Enjoy your stay in NO, Sarah.

And that is the type of thinking that gave us W. and his big government, amnesty driven spend-a-thon. We are in a bucket load of trouble and much of it due to our own misbehavior. We deserve better than the kind of sleaze that Steele has produced.....
To: SeekAndFind
Get Michael STEELE out of the RNC Chairmanship right now! or the RNC is going to be the Pathetic Laughing Stock and Butt of Late Night Jokes and DNC ATTACKS!! Steele has demonstrated a complete lack of Managerial and Moral Skills and Ethics! We bounce from One “DISASTER!” to another “DISASTER!” almost on a Daily basis with Steele at the Helm of the RNC!

Nope, not too late, just politics. Let’s not write her off, good politicians have to play the room and garner support.
They’re never pure or perfect.
She’s no Reagan, but I am willing to give her a chance.
At the same time there are some very good conservatives up and coming and we’ve got time to develop a solid anti-communist line-up.

If McCain wins re-election it will probably be because of her support. Not good.

I agree, but politics is that way. If you know a cure tell me.
FYI:
The few Republicans consistently more liberal than McCain would be Chafee (formerly R-RI), Collins (R-ME), Snowe (R-ME) and Specter (R-PA).
McCain is barely more conservative than Chafee.
