LA Times: Obama's still stumping for healthcare

President Obama took to the road Thursday, telling an audience in Maine that the passage of the healthcare overhaul showed his administration's commitment to small businesses and the struggling middle class.

Democrats had hoped to woo Maine's two GOP senators, generally seen as less conservative than their colleagues, but failed to sway either Snowe or Sen. Susan Collins.

Both senators rejected an invitation to appear with the president, White House spokesman Bill Burton told reporters on Air Force One en route to New England.

As he has throughout the healthcare battles, Obama noted the GOP's hostility to Democratic efforts.

"There has been plenty of fear-mongering, lot of overheated rhetoric," Obama said. "If you turn on the news, you'll see that those same folks who were hollering about it before it passed are still hollering about how the world will end because we passed this bill."

“... telling an audience in Maine that the passage of the healthcare overhaul showed his administration’s commitment to small businesses and the struggling middle class.”

Unemployment was already bad. Now it’s rising and U.S. companies are moving overseas. Douche bag, do you really believe that hellcare will make them feel better without a JOB or an INCOME and HIGH TAXES to FUND IT?

Well, CNN’s ratings have plummeted. Most likely due to 0 fatigue and disgust.

FU, BO. Too bad you’re not a good man. You could have made history in a good way.

I had a meeting with a CFO of a local non profit today who told me he has calculated he will need to lay of 17 of his 59 employees to offset his increased costs due to health care reform. He is not a happy camper. He tried to explain it to his board members this morning who are a bunch of liberals. They all thought health care was going to be free for them all now. He told them those are the consequences when Congress votes for a and passes a bill they do not read.

If he’s so confident that the health care bill was what the vast majority of Americans wanted, why does he keep having to work at selling it?

Whatever happened to that “hard pivot” to job creation?

Does Obama really care about creating jobs? Do Fidel Castro or Hugo Chavez REALLY care about creating jobs or making the citizens of their country prosperous? I think the question answers itself.

Don’t forget this thing is “DemocratCare”, not just ObamaCare.

We need to dub this thing “DemocratCare” so that Democrats can own it, forever.

Also, it cares for Democrats: those who want government to take care of them.

http://www.americanthinker.com/2010/03/the_shock_of_barack.html

“Did Obama’s humanity matter to Grandpa Stanley and Frank Marshall Davis when they sat around drinking, talking trash talk about women, and telling dirty jokes to the discomfited little Barry?

What was Stanley thinking, giving Barry over to Davis, an alleged pedophile and Communist, for mentoring? And did Davis do the most unspeakable act of violation and dehumanization to Barry, as the teenage Obama hints at in the poem, “Pop”?

Pop takes another shot, neat,

Points out the same amber

Stain on his shorts that I’ve got on mine, and

Makes me smell his smell, coming

From me; he switches channels, recites an old poem. . .

Asks for a hug, as I shrink. . .

For someone to survive a difficult childhood intact, he needs at least one person to see his humanity. It’s best if the person is a close relative, but a child can endure with the help of someone else. An attentive coach, counselor, neighbor, or teacher can work wonders.

Who mirrored Obama’s humanity back to him? Who looked into the young Barry’s eyes and reflected back the man he was meant to be? Who honored and cherished the human being inside?

I’ll tell you who — no one. His family groomed him and sculpted him. They projected onto him who they wanted him to be. In later years, other egotistical father figures, like Rev. Wright and Bill Ayers, scripted his Messiah-like role.

But was there someone who loved and honored Obama for who he was? No.

And that’s why Obama cannot see you or me. He cannot respond to the pain and suffering he is inflicting. He may, in fact, derive satisfaction by the act of revenge.” Robin Berkeley

” “If you turn on the news, you’ll see that those same folks who were hollering about it before it passed are still hollering about how the world will end because we passed this bill.”

Barry’s logic is akin to putting a glass of poison in front of someone and before they drink it,
gloating that the folks who warned that drinking poison would kill you -were obviously wrong.
