Post poll shows anger over health-care debate (Don't need a poll to tell us this)

The health-care debate has generated intense levels of frustration among the bill's opponents, and those who say they are outright angry almost universally believe that the country is going in the wrong direction — some say toward an America they no longer recognize.

Of the 26 percent of people who described themselves as "angry" about the new law in a recent Washington Post poll, virtually all also said the country was on the wrong track. In follow-up interviews, many went beyond health care as they spoke of their deep misgivings about the country's leadership and the changes taking place around them.

"I grew up in the '50s," said Hugh Pearson, 63, a retired builder from Bakersfield, Calif. "That was a wonderful time. Nobody was getting rich, nobody was doing everything big. But it was 'Ozzie and Harriet' days, 'Leave It to Beaver'-type stuff. Now we have all this MTV, expose-yourself stuff, and we have no morality left, not even by the legislators."

Massive unemployment doesn’t help.

Notice how MSM ignores that.

BE really neat if someone would put up another sign. <P.

Like the “Miss Me Yet?” sign. This one showing the current unemployment, with a clock spinning off the numbers.

When 4 people out of 5 in a room vote to take the fifth man’s money - that is not democracy, that is mob rule. Democracy cannot exist without private property, and private property cannot exist without constitutional protections.

No matter what the tax is for, everyone has to contribute, no one simply goes for free - because at that point the nation descends into a free fall, a jungle of legalized theft, then inaction, and then economic desolation and impoverishment. When class warfare means I vote to take your money and I don’t have to pay - that America becomes a maelstrom. That is the course that Obama is setting for the nation, it is in his rhetoric, it is what he believes, it is in his actions. Unless change comes quickly we are headed towards a downward spiral that will resemble a Soviet style economic barrenness, a South Bronx 70’s look, or even Britain when tax rates were 90% - and the wealthy departed or stopped all productive activities and England slumped.

Obama continues to attack the most productive people in the economy with a constant class war demagoguery that is damaging to the nation - but it gains him political power. They seem not to understand the freedoms that have created that wealth in this country but only the misguided and perverted belief that they must take it way to create their dystopia of “fairness”. They will destroy more than they create - as theft always does. They will leave the nation worse than they found it, which they normally do. And they will claim victory, while those that produce will be forced to pay the skyrocketing debt and receive less and less for their labor.
