Now for a calm response: HRZ, quit buying stamps...just quit. What can I say? I bust my ass to raise my family... If you don’t like the post office don’t buy stamps, pull your mail box down. We won’t deliver to you, unless someone you know sends you a parcel or a piece of Express Mail. You don’t have to answer the door, and we will send it back. You got ten days to pick it up.

Mind you, the post office is a psuedo government operation. We make our money off of 44 cent stamps. By law we cannot earn a profit. Why, you ask? We are controlled by congress.

Pull your mail box down. Send your next letter via FedEx, or UPS. We don’t want your business. I’m sure you’ll appreciate paying nine bucks to avoid the post office.

Asshats like you make it hard for conservatives like me (and 80% of the rank and file) to actually think of FreeRepublic as a serious forum for conservative talk, and communication.

You don't think the price would be nine bucks if competitors were allowed in, do you?

If I want to send a message to someone, I send an email. I make payments electronically, when possible. If I need to send something physical, I will use FED-ex or UPS
