Growing up in such an environment leads to thickening of the skin, along with reddening of the back of the neck due to sun exposure. Are we a bunch of rednecks? yes. Do we care if we're called rednecks? No. Is Mad-Max the best aussie movie of all time? Abso-f'n-lutely! ....where's my beer? :^)

I would have to go with 'Breaker Morant'. There was another good film around that time called 'The Club'. It had some of the same actors as were in 'Breaker'.
