100 percent repeal of Obamacare
The Washington Times ^ | 04/02/2010 | Rep. Steve King

Posted on 04/02/2010 6:25:23 AM PDT by safetysign

President Obama, speaking at a rally in Iowa City on March 25, challenged opponents of Obamacare who have vowed repeal. To repeal advocates, the President said, "Go for it."

Before the first light of dawn on the morning after this Pelosi Congress sent Obamacare to the President's desk, I started the process to repeal. My decision to take this fight to and through the next election and probably through the presidential election in 2012 was not a knee jerk response to a legislative defeat. It is a commitment to the Constitution, fiscal responsibility, real health care reform and American Liberty.

President Obama, Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Reid - the troika that controls America today - have long had designs to shove America into the abyss of socialism. Their philosophy, political power and cynical effort to expand the dependency class all lined up to make Obamacare the law of the land. The highest price every generation of Americans will pay is not measured in dollars but in lost liberty.

Rep. King is a treasure, and he’s dead-on right about this. We should settle for no less than 100% repeal of this monstrosity.

RINOS will buckle. They rather have it for an issue to complain about.

Hold his signature to a lawsuit.

He had no legal authority to pen it into law.

Its time for America to start adamantly demanding his history and qualifications.

Or live the rest of your lives as suckers of the biggest con game in America.

I know the truth, I’ll fight for it.

Did America surrender?

The RINOs probably don’t have a problem with the socialism or loss of freedom part.

Obama can joke all he wants about the fact that his signing of the bill didn’t bring on Armageddon... and how that day was like just another sunny spring day.

However, Greece didn’t go bankrupt the very minute that their lawmakers signed the laws that would eventually lead to their demise either!

The UK did not explode when they established their socialized medicine program. It took decades for the damage to become apparent... and now it’s probably too late for them to save themselves.

Obamacare is not like a heart attack. It is a malignant cancer that starts almost silently, mutating cells one by one until it spreads throughout the entire body... once you realize the damage it has done... death (to our economy, our health and our freedom) is imminent.

Oh, the arrogance of Obama and the stupidity of all those who follow him!

....settle for no less than 100 percent repeal....

Any clear thinking GOP lawmaker knows that 100 percent repeal is virtually impossible even with a GOP Prez and Congress and many are already admitting it including the ultra conservative GOP Senator from NC who said so yesterday and also said, believe it or not, there are some good things in this bill. That list now includes GOP Senators from TN, TX and Iowa among others.

After listening to Betsey McCaughey, with the Judge, on Beck’s show yesterday I felt much more optimistic. She knows this bill backwards and forward and thinks most of it will never stand up to judicial scrutiny.

"He had no legal authority to pen it into law."

This will be THE issue in 2012.

Listening to Soetoro during the Torture Segment of the Mark Levin Show—he sounded like Chavez. Like a punk.

“It is a commitment to the Constitution, fiscal responsibility, real health care reform and American Liberty.”

It’s pretty sad that a House member has to undertake this commitment as all four principles used to be something we routinely expected of our presidents. How far the bar has fallen with BHO in the White House.
