'Only time will tell' on healthcare reform issue

Rancho Murieta Commentary By Kathryn Brodrick - Cruelty is the worst of human failings. Brutality, mental or physical, requires that the brutalizer cease to see the target as equally human, but merely as an object. At the same time, it’s a uniquely human trait to find the courage to push aside the urge to be cruel and remain present with the other person as an equal human. Throughout this fight for healthcare reform, we’ve seen a great deal of cruelty. A small minority of those who thought it was a bad idea have been egged into despicable behavior by a noise machine the likes of which has never before been seen.

yeah. But sheeple do read this stuff. It is amazing that she still rattles on about the washington non event of hurling insults and spittle and repeats it as certainty to paint a picture of those heathen anti health care nuts.

... A small minority of those who thought it[Obamacare] was a bad idea

Oops! your factoids are showing, Ms. Brodrick. I think just about every poll show it to be a majority who think it is a bad idea. As the details are vetted, that, ahem, minority, will grow.

I will probably pen a letter to the ed. Your response is one of about 18 that I immediately thought of. Gotta get pithy to get it all in.

The whole essay is filled with such “factoids”. She has numerous straw men developed in the article.

One sentence, "I feel strongly that for-profit corporations have no place in facilitating access to medical care, and I fully expect those companies to slither their way around the plan by finding loopholes and continuing to mistreat customers."

I wonder if doctors, nurses, plant managers, parking lot attendants, hospital linen washers, cashiers, staffers, and the whole lot of them "for profit" health care facilitators should just work for, well... free. Because it is a right, you see.

‘real progress has begun.’

The ‘progressives’ cannot even live with the reality that medicare/medicaid and social security are a failure.

It really bothers me that now I hear Republicans defending these failures.
The cavalry isn’t coming folks.

Based on what I read, crediting this author with functioning synapses may be giving her too much credit.

Death threats were the best of these messages; the worst were too graphic for the media to repeat.

While death threats and violent acts are completely beyond the pale, what do you expect when you completely bypass the debate process and violate every single rule put into place over time to facilitate gathering a consensus in the legislative branch to ram a bill down a dissenting majority's throat? The whole point of the way our government is structured is to put a damper on the passions that arise from these kinds of debates. The Democrats decided that their goals of achieving power are vastly more important than following the wisdom of the Founding Fathers' vision for peaceful governance. They're reaping that harvest now, IF you believe that all of these anecdotes are true.

I often wonder if a doctor’s office staff would know what to do if a patient offered to pay cash for a visit or a procedure.

Here's the reason I say that you may be giving the author too much credit. DUH, you dumb b!tch!!! What do you think they do with your co-pay? What's the difference between taking cash or a check for a partial payment versus cash or a check for the entire thing? How stupid do you have to be to ask a question like this? This author exhibits NO capacity for critical, analytical thought whatsoever, which just verifies that she's a liberal .

ALL these entitlement programs need to be repealed. The article “The Real Argument for Repealing ObamaCare” indicates why:

Gee, ya think???LOL

The piece is of note not because of the particular phrases or points of argument or debate, but that she actually believes this tripe, and cannot get more than 2 synapes to fire in unison.

How does one even began to have an intelligent conversation with them?

The peasants never read history, else why do they fall for the same class warfare for free stuff lies over and over again. It always leads the peasants to the same gulags. Whether it’s Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Chavez or our very own two-bit tin pot wanna bee Obami the Commie.

The story has the same ending.

Controlling the schools, rewriting history books, allowing and even encouraging multilingualism are all proven methods of keeping the growing public in the dark.

Amazing! These people just lie their asses off, but WHO is going to hold them accountable? The problem in this country is not that it has scum like this and Obama touting crap. The outright dissolution is with the good men and woman who allow liars to get away with it!

If we as a people in the US do not care enough about upholding truth and standards we will cease to exist!

I didn’t bother reading the communistic drivel.

I give them 90 days.

Which is being nice by the way.

I suspect there will be an absolutely immense anti-Obamacare movement by July 4th that it will rock the very core of the country.

Nothing will cooperate with Obamas plans to create division across America, left, right and center will see through his Marxist plans and for all the right reasons will converge on this together, possibly just this one time in history.

UNITED we stand, DIVIDED....We fall.

Gee, Kathryn, I feel that people need to be able to read about stuff that random people opine about. How about you donate, say 100% of your salary towards this cause? Because I feel, deep in my heart, as a moral, spiritual issue, that your writing adds nothing to the dialog. And that paying you nothing would not only be a very fair trade with regards to your employer, but it would help your employer employ other writers and keep their website going. It’s only fair, isn’t it? You trade your livelihood for my feelings, whaddya say?

And for those who don’t want to read the Constitution because they don’t like it or it’s irrelevant in the 21st Century etc., realize that this program like everything govt touches (except for the military*) will cost way more than promised and be vastly inferior to what it replaces.

If it weren’t inferior, those who had anything to do with cobbling obamacare together, or promoting it or voting for it would not have exempted themselves.

*Military succeeds in spite of the gov because it consists of dedicated volunteers.

It would be only fair if newspaper printers, writers, clerks, typesetters, internet posters, delivery persons would all work for free, because a for profit enterprise is not only unfair, but it taxes the system and takes advantage of the poor who must have the information on the pages or else die a terrible unknowing death.

The question then becomes, why is an embicile in this position? Does the management consider her an embicile? If so, why is she there?

If not, then what does it say about the owner of the rag?

Or perhaps he, too is angling for a non profit status? ( :-) )

Laguna del Sol has been a nudist club
since 1961. It was known as “Rawhide
Ranch” from the early 1970s until 1991,
when it returned to its beautiful, original
name.

Appropriate behavior at Laguna del Sol is the same as in any other family environment. Guests are expected to behave with good manners and judgment. Overt sexuality and voyeurism are not appropriate.
