I am still frustrated with W's unwillingness to answer the continuing assault on his administration's legacy.
But I hold McCain mostly responsible for what happened during the election. There was nothing stopping him from defending Bush policies. Unfortunately, he bought into the MSM notion that everyone hated Bush...and contorted himself by trying not to be "mean" to Obama, while at the same time, distancing himself from Bush.
The result was, he alienated the base without giving independents a reason for voting for the republican ticket.
And I believe Sarah was trying to take the gloves off...but was consistently stymied by Maverick's "wranglers".
