Hardly a day goes by that the media don't blame something on global warming. Or so it seems. The British-based science watchdog, Number Watch, wondered just how many and went to the trouble of documenting them.
It has kept on its Web site a near-comprehensive set of links to a long list of things attributed by either scientific research or the media to global warming. As you read it, some items will strike you as contradictory. Others, perhaps, as merely absurd. And still others as factually impossible.
However they strike you, in perusing the list one thing will become clear: just how much the fear of global warming has come to taint both science and news reporting on the issue.
Following is the list of phenomena (756 entries in all) linked at one time or another to warming. They range from acne, bubonic plague and a drop in circumcisions to Yellow fever, whale beachings, walrus stampedes, witchcraft executions and the threat of zebra mussels.

This raises the question: why do we never hear of ANY possible benefits of supposed “global warming”?

Who could have a problem with this entry on the list - “spectacular orchids.” I don’t recall photographs of this in Al Gore’s powerpoint presentation.

Phrased another way, your question is: "What evidence is there that current global temperature is optimum?"
Maybe we'd be better off with a slightly warmer earth or a slightly cooler earth. Of course it might depend on where you are. People in Newfoundland might like a warmer earth, People in Saudi Arabia a cooler one.
Or, maybe, not so funny. Because even if all Warmists may not buy all of these points, they believe enough of them to press on with their cause. And unfortunately for the rest of us, buying into the Warmist codswallop can get very expensive indeed.

Come on. Anyone can have a bad century.
When one has the perspective that everything occurring after Genesis (or Big Bang, take your pick) is BAAADDDDD, then of course this list is far from complete ....

Because the purpose of such stories is less to inform than to arouse a superstitious fear of "climate change" in the public.
In fact if global warming were really happening, it would mean longer growing seasons in the entire northern hemisphere, for one thing. It would also mean shrinking deserts around the world because a warmer earth would be a wetter earth because of increased ocean evaporation.
