Ohhhhhhhh, two dead "journalists"? I guess when in combat, if you walk with the enemy you take a chance with your life.
My reaction? Good shooting guys.

Disappointing to see Fox News fall for this crap with the headline ....”unarmed...” I expect better from them, but sometimes they look just like their competitors at the other worthless media outlets.

I remember this... the rooters had been helping and living with terrorists... it is a good thing they are dead... I believe I heard this through Ollie North on Hannity.

Good shoot.
Why is it that journalists, politicians, and pro athletes simply cannot understand the old saying "Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes"?

Unarmed? It looks like several of them are carrying AK-47s and one has a RPG.

If it walks like a duck and is in the company of ducks and you have a duck hunting license then it becomes meat on the table.

It’s a war. By the way, I’ve noticed less Reuters stories. Excellent.

A common tactic for the insurgents is to ambush our troops and then when the response comes, hide their weapons and walk away. They know what our rules of engagement are and take advantage of them.
I can't watch the video at work, but if it doesn't show the whole engagement from start to finish, it's worthless. Whose to say that ground troops didn't see these folks with weapons 10 seconds before the helo's cameras came on? What if they were walking out of a building where shots had been fired seconds before?

Another thing to remember. In previous wars our response would be to level the city with carpet bombing, not conduct surgical strikes on individuals.

War is an ugly, filthy business and the Marquis of Queensbury is just some fag living a couple of blocks away(to paraphrase J. Wambaugh)
My Drill Sgt taught us, many moons ago, that the best place to shoot a man is in the back, and the best time is when he least expects it. It was and is very good advice.

I thought a lot of journalists were sympathetic to the al-qaeda. So it would make sense that maybe they were in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I watched the whole video - looks to me like the troops did the right thing, especially given the behavior of the targets on the ground

I had a look at the video.
From what I can tell, the leader was showing the al-Reuters “journalists” his plan for an ambush, no doubt staged for their benefit. Its just a WAG, but his pointing a gestures sure looked like it.
Unfortunately for them, there were a couple of Apaches watching...

“two Reuters employees” embedded with the insurgents?
They were pro-terrorist propagandists who reaped what they sowed. And Reuters employees, of course. But I repeat myself.
