Tom Coburn is being polite and diplomatic, and showing a lot of class. He probably really does think Nancy Pelosi is nice, so I have no problem with his approach in trying to be friendly to the opposition so long as he sticks to his principles.
It is not classy to rub the noses of your supporters with this crap. They don’t need to hear this. It is totally irrelevant what Nancy is like personally.
That’d be all the worse. It’d not only mean bad judgment on his part, but it’d mean he’s a serious risk for defecting in the interests of “bipartisanship” and “compromise” with his friend Nancy.

You may be right that he is showing class, in his own way. But he is showing class towards people who are bent on destroying everything that made this country great. That is not class. That is a failure to recognize a) the anger and sense of betrayal felt by hard working Americans; b) the political climate; and c) who these people really are.
In other words, he is showing class to an enemy of this country, while at the same time punching those people who care about this country in the stomach.
With all the disastrous things the RATS are proposing - why, of all things, is he even talking about this!!
The biggest problem we have are those republican 'gentlemen' who reach across the aisle to prove that they are such good people - only to have their heads slammed against the wall by the RATS.
How about some spine & common sense for a change!!
Stupid is never classy.
Coburn can do this in DC corridors of power, but don’t talk down to his constituents!! That’s who he’s dissing.
They are no longer the opposition - they are the enemy and should be treated as such.
