I don't get all my thoughts on our space program from the papers - but I don't find much in the paper accounts I listed that aren't factual.

Balls in your court.

I don't know what to do with "the ball." What is your point?

It IS giving up dominance in human space flight. We need to do both. We need to push commercial development, keep a viable manned space program going and develop new technologies to reduce the cost and increase access to space. Doubling NASA’s budget would be a drop of fiscal water in the budget ocean.

Obama will wind up killing the whole thing. I’m convinced his plan to focus on new technologies is a smoke screen and nothing will come of it. It’s an excuse to kill manned space flight for the foreseeable future and will wind up hurting our national security.

Golly, I feel old. I remember the "Mercury Seven" - Our first astronauts.

My brother was in the space program - we lived in Cocoa Beach in the mid-'60's. Cocoa Beach was a sleepy little e road town with one mote/hotel - the Ramada Inn.

The is where the astronauts stayed when in town.

My mother worked there and I often picked her up from work, waiting at the bar in the lobby if she was late. I often 'ran into' Wally Schirra there. One night, someone who knew I was a portrait artist said: "Hey, do a drawing of Wally." - and then scrounged p a piece of notebook paper and a ball point pen - a RED one. This is the result. ( I gave it to one of my son's a couple years ago - he's one of the Kennedy Space workers that will be out of a job in Sept - after almost 30 years.)

He had the nicest deep auburn hair and a face covered in freckles.

This is a case where obama is flagrantly thumbing his nose at Congress - illegally.

CONGRESS is legally charged with any such decisions on the space program. the president has no legal right to sidestep them.

I hope the Congress hangs tough. The space program takes about .05% of our national budget - and as the article mentions, is a great avenue for our young people to go into the sciences of the industry - and it gives back tenfold i the inventions and advances we enjoy:

http://www.sti.nasa.gov/tto/

but obama wants that money to go to Muslim youth -
READ, copy/paste and send this information to everyone you know and to everyone at FOX - and Rush AND email Congress and demand they do their duty - not to mention keeping tens of thousands of Americans from being DELIBERATELY and with malice aforethought out of work. (The ultimate redistribution of our wealth.)

NASA plans more outreach to Muslim countries

(per a directive from obama)

headline:

“Obama calls ‘entrepreneurship summit’ with Muslims”

In addition, a letter from Hillary:

Hillary Clinton
Remarks at the U.S.-Islamic World Forum
Doha, Qatar
February 14, 2010

President Obama and I believe that education and innovation are the currency of this century. That’s why he announced a new era of engagement with Muslim communities to expand educational opportunities, support entrepreneurs, and promote advances in science and technology.

Our goal is to identify excellent ideas and successful projects in Muslim communities and then invest in them, help to scale them up, and to connect innovators and entrepreneurs, so that they can support and enhance each other’s work.

We are creating a Global Technology and Innovation Fund, which we will launch this spring, that will provide hundreds of millions of dollars in capital to small and medium-sized businesses throughout the Middle East, Asia, and Africa . . .

We have to continue to expand and strengthen outreach to students. And that is why we have increased funding for educational exchange programs for Muslim students. NASA, our space program, has partnered with the Arab Youth Venture Foundation in Dubai to give Arab and American engineering students the chance to work together on NASA missions.

****************************

These are illegal acts - NOT the prerogative of the Executive Office under our Separation of Powers - indeed, NASA and the Space Program are legally under the auspices of CONGRESS. The WH has no legal right to by-pass Congress on NASA.

and so the redistribution of money out of OUR pockets kicks into high gear. (and the redistribution of jobs - tens of thousands of Americans will loose their jobs - as the money and jobs are given to Muslims around the world...not to mention the technology to create several more Irans. And then the Caliphate?)

and none dare call them "TRAITORS"?
