Giuliani: Obama's Anti-Nuke Move 'Left-Wing Dream'

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani has terse words for Barack Obama’s nuclear policy, describing it as characteristic of an “inept” leader who seems intent on living out a “left-wing dream.”

The Obama administration nuclear policy unveiled Tuesday calls for reducing the number of potential American nuclear targets and says the United States would not necessarily use nuclear weapons in response to attacks by chemical or biological weapons.

The policy, called a nuclear posture review, followed a year of Pentagon deliberations in consultation with allied governments and was released in advance of Thursday’s signing of a new treaty to succeed the 1991 Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START).

“A nuclear-free world has been a 60-year dream of the left, just like socialized healthcare,” Giuliani said during a recent interview with National Review Online. “This new policy, like Obama’s government-run health program, is a big step in that direction.”

Diabolic treason disguised as naivete and ineptness
suffices for a country stupid enough to bow before
a Kenyan imposter.

I'm thinking that once we take back our country from these pukes we should dig up some of the discarded nukes, round the Leftwingtards up behind a big fence, and then use the nukes on them.

Next smartmouth to come up with the idea of nuclear disarmament-in-one-country will think twice.

Giuliana probably was a RINO at one time but he's not now in public office and he's not running for office.

He did not revert to being a Democrat though. He continues to consort with Republicans, votes Republican himself, and actually has most of our belief system down pat.

His problem was abortion ~ you have to love it to get elected in New York City.

RINO but entirely correct here. Despite many of my posts, I’m not adamantly opposed to everything RINOs do. I’ll support them 100% on those issues where they are correct, especially if they can deliver on them.

For example, Giuliani appeared to be a law-and-order mayor. Maybe he’s weak, real weak, on other issues, but I think we owe him credit where credit is due. I think it’s reasonable to say he would have been a much better president than Obama, especially on national defense.

Really?

His problem was actually the following:

1. Abortion
2. Support for the Gay Agenda
3. Supported the Global Warming Scam
4. Left the city of New York with a gigantic deficit.

Brush up on your history Pal!

McCain and Rudy were neck and neck for the 2nd place for the RINO crown right after Bloomberg.

Again, one more time ~ A RINO is ordinarily a Democrat who runs under the Republican label with the stipulation that when elected he caucus with the Republicans to take control of the legislative agenda in Congress, or a state legislature, or a city council.

When they are out of office they become regular old fashioned Democrats again.

To be a true RINO you must be a Republican party candidate, or in office. Out of office you still aren't a Republican.

There are been many faithful and true RINOs over the years who didn't feel the need to go over to the enemy. On the other hand, there have been faithless RINOs who took the first chance to jump ship and join their Democrat buds.

Jeffords is one I can think of right off hand. Then there's the crazy old guy from Pennsylvania. There used to be 7 of them, but I think we're down to about 3 in the Senate, and maybe half a dozen in the House.

Giuliani may have been a Democrat at one time or the other. He's not now. And he's not in office.

If anyone should be an expert on ‘Left-Wing Dreams’ it is Rudy Giuliani. He has them every time he closes his eyes at night.

I'll take it. Right now we need to have as many people as possible speak out against the commie in our White House. The more negative quotes out there against obama, the better. Just get them in the headlines.

I live in nyc and rudy gets a bad rap on this site. Sure he was not a perfect conservative but he is rock solid on a ton of issues.

Excatly. I’m tired of the rudy bashing. He is a great asset for us and living in nyc I know the great job he did under tough circumstances after dinkins.

He was also rabidly anti-gun as mayor. He had a “conversion” when running for President.

Pro-abortion. Pro-homosexual. Pro-open borders. Gungrabber. That's just for starters.

So, Mrs. Lincoln, other than that, how was the play?

Rudy would’ve wiped up the floor with Obama in debates, unlike McCain, who couldn’t string together two coherent sentences in a row. Rudy is way to the left of me on several issues, but it would be a dream to have him in the White House now over the current occupant.

“The United States should not be downgrading its nuclear capabilities at a time when the nuclear threat from Iran and North Korea is increasing, Giuliani said.

“President Obama thinks we can all hold hands, sing songs and have peace symbols,” Giuliani said. “North Korea and Iran are not singing along with the president.”

Question to the anti-Rudy chorus on this thread: Please tell us exactly which of Rudy’s statement IN THIS ARTICLE, do you disagree with? After all, this article is supposed to be the topic of discussion. Do you disagree with Giuliani when he points out the disaster Obama is bringing to this country? Would you prefer that Giulian would not speak up and let the Obama propaganda go unchallenged?

THESE are the questions.

It is entirely possible he did convert ~ or, maybe, he simply lied to the New Yorkers.

They do love liars up there.

Of course he’s right on these matters. But it doesn’t make me like him, or trust him in any way, or want to give him one inch in our domestic politics. The history of the twentieth century is littered with the wreckage left by Leftists who were strong on national defense.

And don’t kid yourself. As dire as the external threats are that we face, they pale in comparison to the internal threat posed by those who are destroying our foundational national principles, like Rudolph Giuliani.
