AP sources: FBI arrests man for threatening Pelosi

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Law enforcement officials tell The Associated Press the FBI has arrested a northern California man for making threatening phone calls to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi over health care reform.
Charges against the alleged caller have yet to be disclosed.

The ironic part is that in the old days this guy would be an isolated nut job. Toady he is probably a normally sane member of society who feels about the same as most of us about “stretch”. He just took it one (and only one) step farther than most of us would ... for now.

I know a man who’s teen age son sent a threat to Clinton. The Secret Service paid him a visit while he and wife were on 25th anniversary cruise. Imagine getting that call.
The secret service did nothing except give a strong warning that reverberated through his school and the community.
The SS Agent told hi they were getting 40 such threats a day to run down.

Public officials threatened are handled differently than by celebrities.
If the guy threatens Pelosi to work like heck to remove her butt from office then good.
I didn't get what the guy said, but if he made a death threat or threat against her family, then shame on him and he will get the FBI at the door IMO.

I have never understood people making threatening phone calls, not even against someone like her Majesty. They idiots who do it have to know that they are going to get caught. My god it's Nancy Pelosi, I wouldn't be surprised if she has MSNBC answering her phone so she doesn't have to waste time calling them and telling them about it. And her name is NANCY, that alone is a complete give away!

And by them not "disclosing" the details, that's probably all it was, him giving her a piece of his mind...NOT against the law as long as he didn't include any actual threats to her or her family.
