The area is rife with dopers (growers/cookers and users), right wing freaks, bomb tossers and other, pretty violent Anti-FedGov types. CdL lost a post office a couple if years back, IIRC to a bomb on the roof.
Maybe one of the aforementioned freaks had to go to court in Spokane and thought to leave a ‘gift’.
