Oil drilling prompts Al Gore's first public split with President Obama By Russell Berman - 04/08/10 01:47 PM ET
President Barack Obamas decision to allow expanded offshore oil drilling prompted the first public criticism of his administration from Al Gores environmental advocacy group, the Alliance for Climate Protection.
The organization, which the former vice president founded and chairs, put out a statement last week opposing the new policy.
The statement is significant because it marks Gores first break with Obama on his signature policy issue, nearly two years after Gores enthusiastic endorsement gave the Illinois senator a jolt of momentum following the divisive Democratic presidential primary.
Gore and the Alliance have appeared to avoid direct criticism of the president in the past when theyve had disagreements, and have often cheered on the administration.
When Obama announced a plan to back construction of new nuclear power plants, another move denounced by environmental groups, Gores group remained silent.
On the oil drilling announcement, however, the Alliance made its opposition clear.

“Good cop/Bad cop”
See, he’s not a socialist. Even the warmers don’t like him.
If a tree fell in the forest....
AlGore is an attention prostitute.
[I’d have used a stronger word, but this is a family site.]
So now we have a two piece man-bear-pig ?
So Obama bozo announces a no drilling policy and Algore says he is against it.
Carbon taxes are coming now that the global warming hoax has sunk.
It’s all BS ,,, all of it and Al knows this drilling will never happen . Environmentalists will have all this tied up in the courts for years .
Obama is conning everyone with his mythical drilling program.
AlGore believes in mythical global warming so it’s all so amusing. Both are playing to the cheap seats in their “constituencies”.
Got to keep that con job going, baby!
I guess Gore did not get the memo.
“Both are playing to the cheap seats in their constituencies.”
You gotta razzle dazzle them.
As an aside ... it doesn’t matter how many wells are drilled, we don’t have the refining ability to handle it. There have been no new refineries built and it takes almost ten years to build one ...
Hey Al, Bambi doesn’t care about you anymore. He won.
Watch Kabuki dancing ...
Gore baby... sell your 500,000 shares of Occidental Petroleum stock and then we can talk...
Yo AlBORE ... EFf you .. and the POLAR BEAR you rode in on.
OK now I have a question. While surfing around the channels I stopped at a show called “Killer Lakes”(see example:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlTGEPP6evo)
In 1986, a tremendous explosion of CO2 from the lake Nyos, West of Cameroon, killed more than 1700 people and livestock up to 25 km away. The dissolved CO2 is seeping from springs beneath the lake and is trapped in deep water by the high hydrostatic pressure. If the CO2 saturation level is reached, bubbles appear and draw a rich mixture of gas and water up. An avalanche process is triggered which results in an explosive over-turn of the whole lake. Since 1990 a French team has carried out a series of tests in an attempt to release the gas slowly through vertical pipes
So does this mean the French Scientists are really the ones spewing Co2 into the atmosphere?
So the earth is emitting tons of Co2 into the air. Why are the Envirowhacos blaming humans. Everything is back asswards.

“Last I checked, Al Gore isn’t the President. He didn’t win, I did.” - Obama
Thing is we can’t refine it fast enough, then there’s the seasonal blend changes plus this plus that ... so even if all our storage capacity was our own it’d still be slow .. then too Democrats would tax it to $11 a gallon anyway ...
First of all, I don’t trust Obama.
Then, I don’t trust Algore.
