Hmmmm, no outcry for the governor to include a statement
regarding state’s rights....oh that’s right the party line
is it was all about slavery.

No it wasn't. States rights was an issue. I grew up in Joisey and attended Rutgers 1961-65. a history major I learned a great deal about the Civil war since those college years were the Centennial Years. Did you know that 1/3 of Jersey is below the Mason Dixon Line? there were no slaves in Jersey but states rights and secession was a large issue in the NJ legislature.

When I graduated I entered active duty, (ROTC commission) and traveled to Mississippi for Communications School. I remember many people commented about my Jersey license plates and whether I was a Republcan Northerner. My answer was "Well I'm Italian. How does that count?"

Isn't interesting that "Tea Party" folks are hood wearing, torch burning, racists!
