Its Yemen; getting treated can be worse than being injured.
I lived there in 1993~94. Once in Aden, while waiting on a flight, our travel assistant was reading me the local paper. A newborn infant had died in the hospital. The cause of death, a cat ate part of it. This was the capital city.
Our project was 60 miles from the nearest paved road. From that point it was about 100 miles to a building with indoor plumbing.
We would meet Americans at the airport. The standard greeting was:
“Welcome to Yemen. Set your clock ahead 11 hours. Set your calendar back 2,000 years.”
Awhile ago someone posted the Ayatollah.s instructions on what was permissible sexually with children....it was beyond belief! But then they have only hatred for their woman so it makes sense to them to abuse even the children.
To say they are backward hardly is sufficient. They are a hoard of vipers to themselves and to others. I don't see that changing. The imams will never as the Koran and their teachings are what keep the people in bondage and under control. Until they are stopped from teaching...which won't happen...there will be no end to this abuse.
