Grayson will win the nomination and the seat.

I was in central Kentucky recently, and I did not see a single Grayson bumper sticker or sign.

I did, however, see LOTS of Rand Paul stickers and signs.

On a side note, I also saw a hilarious sign that read "Jim Thompson for Magistrate" but I forgot to stop and take a picture. GRRR.

Problem is that most of the Paul-bashers want to keep choosing the same type of Republican candidates over and over but expect a different result.

That's it...the definition of insanity.

in contrast to “Big Government neocon” John McCain.

See, Chuck Baldwin is being all nice and polite and peachy. I, on the other hand, prefer to save no punches for the RINO traitor McCain.

McCain is more than just a "Big Government neocon." McCain is a radical progressive, a scumbag, a Manchurian candidate, and a backstabbing weasel and a traitor to his country and to his party!

This is an an old Democrat trick - posing questions in a manner that has their interpretation all over it, thereby preventing any far more rational explanation you would have. Sheesh.

I'm not requesting any "interpretation" at all.

Just an agreement, or disagreement, with one expressly-clear statement:

So, Allegra -- let me ask you to agree with one of the following statements:

I challenge you to exhibit the intellectual honesty to answer that one simple question: do you agree that "only a fool would place the moral responsibility for terrorism on anyone other than the terrorists themselves", or not? Well, which is it?

Third party candidates are a Democrats dream , divide and conquer . Soros is probably a big supporter .

Which is why Rand Paul represents the bane of 3rd Party distractions, because he's got the 3rd Parties lining up behind the Republican!

We need more Republicans like that, who will bring the 3rd Party Voters into the GOP.

So, you're unwilling to answer a simple question -- because you know that if you answer honestly, you'll lose your favorite weapons against Ron Paul?

Heh, heh, heh. So noted.

I did not make anything up. This is what cut and run said, "They attacked us because we've been over there, we"ve been bombing Iraq for ten years." Iraq did not comply with the cease fire agreement. What was America supposed to do? I know, in Ron Pauls's utopia, we were just supposed to pretend it didn't happen.

Well, now you're just saying that you think that Ron Paul's foreign policy is unrealistic and dangerous -- rather than lying about him being a "truther" or "blaming America", when he did no such thing.

"Ron Paul's foreign policy is unrealistic and dangerous" -- Hey, that's a legitimate argument! I can respect your point of view on that!!

Wow -- see how much more reasonable a debate can be when you just express your honest disagreements, rather than resorting to tired, long-disproven dissimulations?

Being the son of Ron Paul doesn't make one a fruitcake.
Rand made it on his own without his father's help or machine
You're quite right. Rand Paul is a self-made fruitcake.

Incidentally, i was right. Ron Paul NEVER said "...it was America that forced the terrorist to do what they did." You made that up.

Perzackly.

I’m confused.

Is Ron Paul a great patriot and it’s fantastic that Rand is following in his footsteps or..

Is Ron Paul a detestable anti-Semitic loon and it’s fantastic that Rand is distancing himself from his father?

I keep hearing both.

I'm not very easy to deceive, but if it is in your nature to try, then I guess you must, again this thread is not about Ron Paul, it is about the Kentucky Senate race.

This was Ron Paul, Rand Paul was representing him at this meeting and giving the Presidential candidate's views in 2007, HE said, HE wants, HE believes.

Next, you'll be telling us that Rand Paul believes that Japan attacked the US Pacific Fleet because they thought that the US Pacific Fleet represented a potential "threat" to their imperialistic expansionism.

Oh, wait -- that is why the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor.

Not that such an understanding of Japan's motivations, in any way justifies such a cowardly Sunday-morning surprise attack on an erstwhile-neutral Country.

To explain a thing, is not to excuse a thing.

You know the old political cliche that politics makes strange bedfellows, but having said that, the Ron Paul/Alan Grayson relationship has shocked and disappointed many Conservatives in the central Florida area. Conservatives who are dead set on replacing Grayson this fall with a Conservative Republican, and are very suspicious of our center-right bretheren that are making common cause with what we consider to be highly destructive forces in the US.

That's one of the things that are somewhat distasteful about our political system. Unfortunately, i can't think of a better structure than that which the Founders left to our care.

It may be a bit off to say that there is a 'relationship' between Alan Grayson and Ron Paul. More than likely, Grayson is using his agreement with Ron Paul's criticisms of the FED chairman (whose name i can't spell!) for political gain with conservatives.

i do recall Grayson getting kudos from people on this site when he went after the FED Chairman in committee. Sort of "a broken clock is correct twice a day' matter.

If i had any criticism of Ron Paul it would be that he needs to be a bit more dilligent as to who invokes his name and for what purpose.

If you succeed in convincing me that Rand Paul is one of you Paul kooks then I will switch to Trey Grayson.

Thank you for admitting that you are a Paulestinian.

Too many people on this thread make excuses for Rand Paul by claiming he’s not his father’s clone.

Rand Paul has never held elective office and so — like Obama — he has the advantage of saying whatever he wants. But as we saw with Ron, actions do not match words.

Ron Paul is an earmarking anti-Israel doofus who hangs around with crazy lefties and truthers like Kokesh and Kucinich.

Like his father, Rand Paul isn’t who he says he is, but like their friend Debra Medina, sometimes the mask comes off.

Or in a more apt analogy, sometimes the arm cannot help extending into that oh so familiar salute.

Or maybe neither of the above. How about He's his own man, and makes his own decisions?

As for Ron Paul being an antiSemite, i wonder where that came from. Seriously, it's becoming a common tactic even at the local level. My Conservative Republican State Representative is getting accused of the same kind of $#!t by organisations that turned out to be George Soros-MoveOn.org front groups.

You need to check out things for yourself. The opposition has gotten pretty good at covering their tracks.
