OMG if they confirm Cass Sunstein, that’s the final straw for me. I will kiss this country goodbye and be posting on FR from outside the US. You can take that to the bank.

Old liberal fool Stevens should have been gone long ago. Picked by a Republican and now he chooses to leave with a Marxist as president. What a worthless SC pick he’s been to America!

“One has to come across a lot of dumb Americans to con so many for so long. I don’t “we the people” can learn.”

There is no shortage in our universities, or in politics. In both, evil, leftism, and corruption reigns supreme.

Anyone that sits out an election deserves as much blame as the ones that voted for the Kenyan Marxist. I hate McCain, I held my nose and voted for him. In 2012 I will vote for whoever runs. If it’s Romney, I will vote for him. I can’t stand him, but I want that Marxist out.

In a remarkable e-mail that she sent to the entire Harvard law school community, Kagan stated, “I abhor the military’s discriminatory recruitment policy,” and she condemned it as “a profound wrong—a moral injustice of the first order.” (Of course, what Kagan called the “military’s … policy” was required by the law that was approved in 1993 by a Democratic-controlled Congress and by President Clinton.)
Among her other actions in opposition to the Solomon Amendment—the law denying federal funding to universities discriminating against military recruiters—Kagan signed her name to a Supreme Court amicus brief in the litigation (Rumsfeld v. FAIR) that offered a highly implausible reading of the Solomon Amendment that would have rendered it, as Chief Justice Roberts’s opinion put it, “largely meaningless.” The Chief Justice’s opinion rejecting Kagan’s reading (and the other challenges to the Solomon Amendment) was unanimous.

We better hope Roberts, Scalia, Thomas and Alito stay healthy...

We need to clone them!

We will see... The Repubs should kick this tin can as far as they can. The closer to November the better. To remind the voters, and it would be another example on how crazy of a Commie leftist Obama is.

I’ve already seen a couple of RINOs on TV saying just that: “Oh we will oppose any far Left radical if Obama tries to appoint one, but, I don’t see us(Rep Senators) ngaging in a filibuster against anyone he wants to appoint.’!!!!!!

And when asked to comment on the legality of the Constutitionality of Obamacare, the nominee will claim they can’t comment— this SHOULD be a nice chance for GOP to give America a lesson on the Constitution, enumerated powers and Federalism.

Nice arguing technique. Ask a question. Don’t give the person a chance to answer and then excoriate the person for something they never said.

I'm reading this at BigGovernment.com

The timing of his announcement leaves ample time for the White House to settle on a successor and Senate Democrats, who control 59 votes, to conduct confirmation hearings and a vote.

Republicans have not ruled out an attempt to delay confirmation.

THEY BETTER FIGHT THIS!

We need to push for a muslim. Court needs a muslim. The person would likely be anti-abortion, anti gay rights, pro religious freedom, pro gun rights, pro death penalty. Need to push Obama to nominate a muslim so the nation of Islam is well represented :)

Republicans have already won a small victory- Dawn Johnsen, Obama’s nominee for a Justice Department position, withdrew her nomination. This may mean that Obama decides to avoid controversy.

The new congress won’t even be in place until Jan. Wishful thinking for it to be dragged out that long.
