Strange, we had these bomb shelters in the schools yet our drills never included the bomb shelter. Wonder who got to go to the bomb shelters? Probably the teacher that made me eat the green peas...
Did you have a shelter? Did your drills include reaching the shelter?
No shelters that I recall. Water table too close to the surface for any meaningful underground constriction.
Just duck and cover. Your school desk will protect you from an atom bomb.
