Permanently close the consulate office.
Permanently recall the ambassador and office staff.
Permanently close the border.
OK, now that’s solved – anything else?

This can’t be true. I keep hearing how “warm” the people are south of the border.

There is a solution to the whole “border problem.” Simply admit Mexico to the Union as the 51st through 81st states. No more border, no more citizenship issues, no more smuggling. Oh, and all 111 million Mexican citizens- now US citizens- get to pay US taxes and obey US laws. Sounds like a plan to me.
If the citizens of Mexico don’t like the idea, then the border stays exactly where it is, and stays a border.

Yes, I agree that in all fifty seven states, Mexico is by far the one Michelle 0bama has always been proud of. Juan McStain will pretend to seek an imaginary fence acrosss the border until after the primary. It will be constructed with wet noodles. Border patrols will be armed heavily with air whips.
